Salzburg faces Genk in a game from Group E of the UEFA Champions League. We are going to offer you our Champions League predictions for this clash at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday.

After winning the Austrian Bundesliga again, Salzburg qualified directly for the competition’s group stage. They remain the strongest team in Austria and it’s pretty clear by the way they perform since the start of the season. In seven games played in the Bundesliga so far, Salzburg have won seven wins. They are leading the standings with 21 points and five points advantage in front of the second LASK.

In the previous round Salzburg achieved they seventh consecutive win in the league. Jesse Marsch’s boys hosted Hartberg at the Red Bull Arena and entertained the fans with an impressive 7-2 win. The young Norwegian striker Erling Haland scored a hattrick for the hosts, while his partner in attack Patson Daka added two more goals for the win. Andre Ramalho Masaya Okugawa also scored for the winning side.

Genk returns to the Champions League after 8 years of waiting. Last season they won the Belgian First Division A, which allowed them to participate again in this beautiful competition.

Despite of winning the title last season, now Genk are managed by another coach. This is the 53-years old Belgian tactician Felice Mazzu, who arrives in Genk from Sporting Charleroi.

But we can’t say that Mazzu’s reign in Genk started in the way everyone hoped. After seven rounds played in the First Division A, right now Genk are 9th in the league standings with 10 points and a record of three wins, one draw and three losses. Right now Genk are five points behind the leader Standard Liege.

In their last league game Genk suffered another defeat. The champions visited Sporting Charleroi and got beaten with 1-2. Paul Onuachu’s goal was not enough for the visitors to avoid the loss.

That’s our Champions League predictions for the fixture between Salzburg and Genk on Tuesday. We wish you good luck, pals.
