Valencia hosts Granada at the Estadio Mestalla in a match from the 13th round of La Liga

Valencia hosts Granada at the Estadio Mestalla in a match from the 13th round of La Liga. It’s time for another portion of our La Liga predictions. Should we begin now?

For Valencia it’s a difficult season so far. Los Che are not where they’d like to be, because right now they are 13th in the standings with 17 points. At May Valencia finished in the Top 4 and qualified for the Champions League, so now the goal is to do the same. Even without the manager Marcelino, who left the club.

On the positive note, we can say that right now Valencia are in a short run of two consecutive wins. Their 2-1 win over Espanyol last weekend was followed by a great performance against Lille in the Champions League. On Tuesday Los Che were one goal behind against the French side, but in the last 25 minutes they managed to score four times. Dani Parejo, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Ferran Torres scored, while Lille’s Adama Soumaoro scored himself an own goal.

But what about Granada?

Granada are doing better than they probably expected. The team is 6th in the league standings with 20 points, just one point behind the Top 4. The manager Diego Martinez deserves to be complimented for his work, because Granada are not having an expensive squad. But despite of this, they are doing really good.

Last week Granada suffered a defeat, though. They hosted Real Sociedad at the Nuevo Los Carmenes and got beaten with 1-2 by the Basques. Alvaro Vadillo scored for Granada, but La Real still managed to take the three points.

In our La Liga predictions we can make the observation that right now Granada are doing better than Valencia in the league, but Los Che’s inspiring performance in the Champions League during the weekcould give them wings on Saturday. We expect something like this to happen.
