What worries the fans right now is the rumours of a possible sale of Romelu Lukaku. Inter Milan already played their first friendly match for the summer. The team faced the Swiss side Lugano and made a 2-2 draw. Lugano got ahead in the result with two goals advantage, but the Italian champions equalised thanks to the strikes of Danilo D’Ambrosio and Martin Satriano. It was Simone Inzaghi’s unofficial debut for the club. He chose a 3-5-2 formation, but many of his first team players were still unavailable to play. This was a good chance for Inzaghi to test some young players in the squad such as Lucien Agoume, Martin Satriano, Facundo Colidio, Mattia Zanoti, Franco Carboni and others.

Most likely Simone Inzaghi will keep using the 3-5-2 formation. Not just because it was Antonio Conte’s title-winning formation, but also because these tactics are really preferred among the managers nowadays. Here’s one thing you should remind you – Inter basically lost another player during the Euro 2020 this summer. This is the Danish international Christian Eriksen who nearly died during Denmark’s first game against Finland. It’s still not clear if Eriksen is going to play football again, but most likely it’s never going to happen. This means that Inter can’t use him or sell him anymore which is another bad news for the Nerazzurri. Eriksen didn’t really impress with Inter’s shirt so far, but he was a player who could generate some money on the market.

Genoa will start another campaign in the Serie A with the same mind in goal – avoid relegation. Davide Ballardini remains the head coach after being appointed in December. The 57-years old manager reached the goal he had last season – the keep the club in the Serie A. It was only normal for him to continue.

Genoa do not have the funds to make any transfer deals right now, but they still found a way to sign some new players. The goalkeeper Alberto Paleari arrived from Cittadella for 2 million euro while Aleksander Buksa, Lorenzo Andrenacci and Stefano Sabelli all arrived at the Luigi Ferraris as free agents.

Genoa already played two friendly games this summer, and won both of them. In their first one the Grifoni secured a 5-0 win against Stubai while in the second one they scored four times against Wacker Innsbruck II.

Genoa do not have any stars in their team, but they still have some experienced players they can rely on. Players such as Domenico Criscito, Milan Badelj, Valon Behrami, Stefano Sturaro and Mattia Destro. But they realise really well that surviving in the Serie A for another season won’t be easy at all.
