Watford hosts Leicester City at the Vicarage Road in a game from the 30th week of the Premier League

Watford hosts Leicester City at the Vicarage Road in a game from the 30th week of the Premier League. These are our English Premier League predictions for this fixture on Saturday.

Watford are still dangerously close to the relegation zone of the league, right now being 17th with 27 points. This is placing them on level with the 18th Bournemouth, so what the Hornets need now more than anything else is points.

Last week Nigel Pearson’s team suffered a 14th loss for the season. Watford traveled to London to face Crystal Palace, but they were defeated after a winning goal from Jordan Ayew after 28 minutes of playing. In the second half Pearson put Danny Welbeck, Ignacio Pussetto and Andre Gray, but Palace kept their lead.

There are some problems for Nigel Pearson right now. The biggest one remains the injury of the talented Spanish forward Gerard Deulofeu who is not going to play in the remaining matches.

Despite of some unconvincing results lately, Leicester City are still third with 53 points won. In other words, the Foxes are still on course to return to the Champions League next season.

After a long run without a win, last week Leicester enjoyed their 16th win for the season. Brendan Rodgers’ boys made a terrific performance against Aston Villa at the King Power, winning the game with 4-0. The league’s top scored Jamie Vardy scored twice, while Harvey Barnes also shined with a brace for the win.

Against Watford Leicester City will be without the African defender Daniel Amartey, who is still recovering from his latest injury.

In these English Premier League predictions we feel that Watford will do their best to take some points off Leicester. The Hornets are desperate to get on a safe distance from the danger zone, but they have a tough opponent ahead.
